AHEDD is a great company to work for. Everyday can be completely different. Your duties can range from meetings to job coaching. While job coaching in their work environment you get to learn a little about everything. From food service to welding to nursing. Coworkers are fabulous and always there to help. I've had great experience with management of all levels. The hardest part in some locations is referral sources. If the clientele isn't there, they just aren't there. Bigger cities don't have as much of an issue as some of the rural areas, I'm sure. But a big part of your job is getting out there and talking to referral sources to maintain a steady caseload. It can also be a little disheartening to see someone you're job coaching earning a significantly higher wage than you, but at the end of the day you are still so happy to see someone you helped succeed. Full time employees have great benefits, holiday pay and a very significant amount of PTO time. If you have to travel outside your designated area they do pay for your rental and/or hotel. They also reimburse you mileage for your daily driving.
Also, the president of the company is always willing to talk to you if you have concerns, problems ect. He's a very personable person who truly care about his company, employees, and the people AHEDD serves.
