Horrible experience
Administration (Current Employee), NevadaFebruary 26, 2014
Cons: everything
I have never worked for such a place in my life and hope to never again . Terrible management which is the problem, might be a decent company to work for but would never know because of the way they run the office. They paid okay for the area but benefits are a joke , why bother. Working there is the worst mistake i have ever made.

IT WAS A JOB, NOT A CAREER.
Credit Specialist/Collections (Former Employee), Las Vegas, NVNovember 1, 2013
Though I enjoyed working for Ahern, it wasn't exciting and many times they would skimp out of giving the employees their bonuses. The health benefits are so terrible that we paid a 6k deductible making it pointless to pay a premium out of our checks. It cost more money to work there, than they actually paid us. It isn't a career choice, that's for sure.

I really enjoyed how fast paced the AR department was at Ahern. I enjoyed working with the other departments to meet deadlines. I liked that it was always changing and always had you thinking.

The people I work with are good people. I like working at Ahern, but they had to file for Bankruptcy, so I have to find a place where I know I have a long term opportunity.

Equipment Rental Delivery Driver (Former Employee), Fremont, CAMarch 26, 2013
Pros: 10:00 am shift was the best.i still had a personal life.
Cons: 2:00 am shift was the worse thing.you had know personal life.
It always was a place that I wanted to be at.My first run was usually a delivery, with two or three stops.I always was moven and staying bussy. My knowledge of equipment, after eight & half years is at a experience level.Management and co-workers were professional good to work with.Dealing with traffic on delivery or pick ups,was very diffacult. There was – more... no wear to park the truck,or leave equipment.Long drives to monterey and carmel were my favorite. The drive rout was safe and at a stright shot, to and from. – less

Petty, highly confrontational, office polatics
Outside Sales & Class A CDL Driver (Former Employee), Baltimore, MDMarch 22, 2013
Pros: they are a good company to work for on the west coast, a whole different company on the east coast.
Cons: frequent long hours with little or no advanced notice. petty office politics
I would not return there under any foreseeable reason. Poorly managed, frequently violate corporate policy , willing to place employees in compromising positions in violation of policies.

Too much micro-management.
Mechanic (Current Employee), Bakersfield, CAJanuary 26, 2013
Cons: minimal healthcare
Benefits are practically nonexistant. There is no sense of accomplishment. Your work is not appreciated in any manner other than Management demanding more. Comunicating with co-workers is discouraged regardless of purpose.
