Fast Paced Non Profit Medical Office
FRONT OFFICE CLERK (Current Employee), Hollywood, CA – January 7, 2013
Pros: great co-workers, great doctors
Cons: bad compensation, no opportunity for advancement, and no annual pay raise.
This is a very fast paced high volume office with over 1200 patients and a team of 7 doctors. A normal day usually flies by in a blink of an eye, which at times is great! Being detail oriented and having effective communication skills really help to ease your day here.

Very Poor Management and Personal skills from EUS Manager
Hardware Technician (Former Employee), Los Angeles Ca – December 17, 2012
Pros: close to home
Cons: managers, organizational skills, planning, priorities
I was just fired from this organization for having poor performance...I was asked to find training that would improve my performance and was even written up for not doing so in a timely manner once I provided information on training that would help my work performance I was never given the training and fired for the very same reason if you work for – more... EUS is a disfunctional manager with absolutely zero organizational skills and even less personal skills uses unfair tactics I hated it the whole time I worked for her good luck if you get hired. – less

Good company with a good IT budget, but poor IT management
Systems Administrator (Former Employee), Gardena, CA – November 21, 2012
Pros: staff, budget, location, non-profit
Cons: the it department has taken on far too many projects in recent months, the cto was recently let go and there is an obvious lack of direction
The daily routine in the AHF IT department consists of managing and maintaining a virtualized Microsoft environment with all of the bells and whistles. The software portfolio includes Windows Server, Exchange, Hyper-V clusters, SQL, Communications Server, WSUS, etc. The majority of time is spent checking up on existing projects, providing direction – more... to other members of the team and SME consultants.

In my tenure at AHF I was able to learn and implement several new technologies including VoIP, SAN, MPLS, DFS and Failover clustering just to name a few. The staff is excellent and the company's goals and mission statement are noble. – less

Pros: you are doing good work
Cons: the it department needs better leadership
AIDS Healthcare Foundation is a great place to work, I only left because I got a better offer elsewhere. The leadership is good, there is a good sense of teamwork, and everyone is working together to fight against HIV and AIDS.

Fast paced, fun job with great co-workers
Cashier/Assistant (Current Employee), San Francisco, CA – July 31, 2012
Pros: great learning experience and amazing benefits.
Cons: management lacked professionalism at times
During my time working for AHF I have dealt with pretty much ever kind of customers and complaint that you can think of. I have helped the blind, the homeless and the very wealthy. I Have protested against pharmaceutical companies and have almost been arrested (it was all part of the job). I have handled more money than i ever have before and did so – more... with accuracy. – less

Project Coordinator (Former Employee), Mexico – April 17, 2012
There's always something new in this job... either is a person who came to the office to search info about STD's or chatting with a homeless person about how to use properly a condom.
Maybe the best job i had to the day.
My main activities were to coordinating the HIV mass testing project.

Okay company to work for
Pharmacy Technician (Former Employee), Fort Lauderdale, FL – April 9, 2012
Pros: pay rate, dress code, doctors, lunches, schedule, bonuses
Cons: confidentiality, management, lack of organized. communication, training new employees
It was a great experienced, my only issue was that the supervisor I had did not know how to lead as a leader. And she would tell your personal info with the co workers such as if you were not coming in and you gave her details of your reason she would tell everyone should anyone asked.

Medical Assistant (Current Employee), Hollywood – February 28, 2012
Pros: night hours
Cons: night hours
This company works very hard to make sure we deliver top notch up to date testing for all patients who decide to test with us regularly. All the staff attends meetings every month and all employees have the appropriate certifications to meet state requirements. We all go about and beyond to make sure all our patients are taken care of.
