The company supplies industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, CO 2, argon, etc.) to companies in the automotive, chemicals, food and beverage, and health care industries. The US distribution arm of industrial gas provider Air Liquide, the company can, depending on its customers' – more... needs, it can manufacture onsite, ship its product in cylinders, or through 1,800 miles of pipeline. It operates 200 locations throughout the US, including 100 manufacturing facilities. American Air Liquide also fulfills semiconductor companies' gas and liquid chemical requirements from its own fabrication plants.
In 2010 Air Liquide acquired Hydrogen Generation Module, or HGM, technology from H2Gen Innovations, a design, manufacturing and marketing company for on-site hydrogen generators and gas purification units in Alexandria, Virginia. HGM units are modular steam methane reformers which provide flexible production capability solutions.
That same year, Air Liquide Large Industries U.S. acquired the assets and business activities of Lion Copolymer Geismar Services, an industrial utilities provider based in Louisiana's Geismar basin, near Baton Rouge. The facilities supply steam, treated and demineralized water, and other products to nearby industrial customers in the Geismar basin. – less
