You have management hiring people they personally know with no experience. It is such an unprofessional environment, management sleeping with male coworkers and giving them perks. Department is full of drama and supervisors and managers always gossiping but will reprimand you for doing the same thing. Its like an alternate universe working for this place because upper level management and HR just turn a blind eye.

This is a great safe culture company to work for. The day fly by cause you are working on many different task throughout the day. Management is great they do not hoover, they allow you to run the store as you think it should.They just make sure you are in compliance with their standard. They are allows there if you need help and can give you the direction needed. The hardest part of the day is being able to give enough time to walk in customer with out feel like rushing them out. Most exciting is working with a wide range of different people and business and seeing how I impact their jobs.

Airgas is a nice company to work for. There has been a lot of transition with management over the last two years, to bring the company into stronger footing to coincide with system updates and massive internal growth. The HR department is full of warm and friendly employee focused individuals, and no matter the department, the phrase "Open door policy" isn't just a saying, but is proving to be a walk and way of life among the new management. Cash Applications requires a high level of detail orientation, focus, and ability to manage time well. co-workers work with supervisor daily to post incoming cash from lock-box into SAP based inventory tracking system, ensuring accuracy of customer payments and open due invoices for AR records. I've learned quite a bit about the system, and navigation of the program regularly used, which helps in researching previous payments as well as determining how new money should be applied. The position has shifted slightly from a purely internal position with little phone work to one that is part data entry, part direct external customer service, as often phone calls must be made to direct customer contact in order to determine check posting and to notify customers of duplicate payment credits available on their account.

My days are usually very busy. taking care of deposits and entering Exchange tickets and taking orders from customers. There is some days that I help out at the counter. Have done receiving and putting up orders. My biggest part of my day is research and helping customer with issues or just helping them understand their bills and things on their accounts. Close of day is closing up register and getting things ready to start next day.
