Encounter Staff, Gulf Shores, AL - March 23, 2017
I loved my job at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo! It was a fun and exciting job where each day was exciting and different. I worked with many different animals, each with their own personalities. Each animal had its own requirements in food, enrichment, and medical needs. While the animals allowed for exciting and fun days, we were a small nonprofit zoo with very few keepers. This allotted to a large work load with required very strict time management to complete all activities within the day. Our curator and director had difference of opinion on how the zoo should be run which caused great stress to rest of staff.
