Lots of experience designing and implementing networks and systems
System/Network Administrator (Former Employee) – Anchorage, AK – March 22, 2017
APU was mostly a relaxed environment and the management gave me a great deal of flexibility and authority to do my job purchasing hardware. They also invested a lot of money to provide training on UNIX and network installation, configuration, and administration.
Lots of good people interaction with staff and students
Lack of planning by management sometimes negatively affected project success
Part-time event assistant (Former Employee) – Anchorage, AK – October 19, 2015
I was hired to help move and set up items for events located on the schools campus. I learned how to set up multiple types of speaker systems as well as how to arrange them in different areas/building environments. My coworkers were other students, however we all communicated well. The hardest part of the job was working early in the day as it sometimes conflicted with other personal school related activities and the hours were inconstant. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with fellow classmates and making friends outside the classroom.
Campus Security Assistant (Former Employee) – Anchorage, AK – May 25, 2012
It provided me with much needed experience, and allowed me to work at my own hours. This job also was relaxing and usually stress free as I could do my home work from school will earning money part time.
