Research Laboratory Manager, Biosafety Officer (Former Employee) – Albany, NY – July 27, 2017
The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has become much more aligned and supportive of the needs and requirements of grant-funded researchers and staff in recent years. Laboratory facilities have been vastly upgraded and some major shared-equipment purchases have been made. There is a good attitude of cooperation between laboratories.
Christmas & July 4th weeks off in addition to regular leave time
Research Technician (Former Employee) – Colchester, VT – March 13, 2017
Its a quiet place to work. Being a satelite campus of a college in Albany, NY has some difficulty in terms of expediency for some processes. I managed several different students; some were work-study, some were from the local high school, some were doing independent studies and other were graduate students. There was quite a divide between the pharmaceutical practice and the pharmaceutical science groups.
Assistant Director (Current Employee) – Albany, NY – March 2, 2017
ACPHS is at a very challenging time in their existence. Competition is at an all-time high and the stress around the college is evident. However, it is still a great place to work and learn about the higher education industry. There are many great people on campus and they will help you achieve your goals.
Associate Head Lacrosse Coach (Current Employee) – Albany, NY – November 30, 2015
Excellent work life balance. Provided young men an opportunity to achieve something bigger than themselves. Led a team to a top ten national ranking. Created relationships with students who were able to grow and mature in many aspects of life.
GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT (Current Employee) – Albany, NY – February 4, 2014
Most of the days, all labs are filled with buzzing of instruments and people discussing ideas about their research and also some other stuff. I learned a lot many things over here which includes operating exhaustive instruments and learning new techniques. Everyone working here comes from a different background, which makes workplace more exciting. Not only there is exchange of knowledge but also of cultures. Professors working in lab are dedicated to their students and lab. It's a really nice place to learn, work and share.
