I always got in a management position, the hardest thing about my job was trying to make everyone happy, meaning on there schedules.i would do inventory every quarter, what i learned was i had a passion for arranging flowers. I would work bagging, stocking, and working with people on a part-time basis. Management was open and friendly, and I had been planning to return to college here in Dallas.

Started out really good, But the company moved out of the area and everyone had to find new jobs.

Been quite a while and they are no longer in our area but it was a great company to work for at the time. Only problem was the store manager was not always the most supportive because they rarely understood pharmacy back then. Now everyone is more aware of the opportunities or non-opportunites in the retail setting.

I liked helping customers and talking with them and getting to know them by name and what they ordered when they came in for coffee.

i liked this company alot of my family works there they treat there employees well for the most part i just wound up in a stoe with a horrable manager that i couldnt stand

In general, working for Albertson's can be very rewarding and has a lot of room for advancement. Sadly though, it is ran a little on a rough edge and some of the things we do and some of the pressure we're under was caused to just the store look better in the eyes of the corporation. The hardest part of the job is that it is never completely done, there is always something else to do. Managers vary but by in large they allow you the chance to succeed

I enjoyed everytime I was scheduled to work interested in who I was going to meet within that work day. It was a job whereas I would always give the people who cam through my line exceptional customer service.

Learned how to greet customers while loading their groceries in their car.

Everyday the customers we're satisfied the mangers were great and all the employees were awesome and got alone

Weigh the produce and return the excess or unwanted items to respective shelves.
Pack or wrap the purchase before handing it to customer.
Total customers' purchases and accept payments.
Verify customer identity for payments made through checks and credit cards.
Count the amount of money at the beginning of each shift.

Total bill after deducting special discounts as applicable.
Issue receipts to customers after the payments is done and return the change.
Verify age for customers' purchasing alcohol.

Didn't have much leway as far as growth and fairness. Union rep was never there. Management played favorites..

I really enjoyed working for this company. I started working there as a cart pusher, and over the years I worked every department then worked my way up to assistant manger. I learned so much in my time there, things which have made me succeed into who I am today. It was a great work experience.
