All Weather Windows is a Canadian owned company begun in 1978 by Harry Buhler, Gord Wiebe, and Henry Banman. All Weather Windows has been growing ever since Harry, Gord and Henry first set up shop in a 10,000 Square Foot facility in northwest Edmonton. At the end of its first year, the company had expanded to nine employees and achieved revenue of $1.8 – more... million. All Weather Windows quickly outgrew its first home. In 1980, the company moved into a 35,000 Square Foot facility.
1982 marked the opening of the company's first branch in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A second branch followed two years later in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. All Weather Windows successfully expanded into new markets and made great inroads with building supply dealers and contractors. By 1985, the company grew to 50 employees and a new building was needed to serve as the head office.
All Weather Windows continued to add branches to meet the growing demand for its products. A Calgary, Alberta branch was added in 1988. Revenue soared nearly ten-fold since the company's first year.
In 1992, Harry Buhler moved to Chief Executive Officer and Gord Wiebe became President of All Weather Windows. In 1995, the company added 4 new partners, Robert Gilles, Roger Hutlet, Peter Nguyen, and Bill Scott.
All Weather Windows experienced feverish growth in the early to mid-90s. An export department was established in 1995 to develop business internationally. By 1997, All Weather Windows had become a major force in Canada's window and door industry.
A design built, 238,000 square foot facility was opened in January 1998. Because of the high demand for All Weather Windows' products, the transition needed to be as quick as possible. The company's five plants were totally shut down on December 18, 1997. Manufacturing resumed in the new plant on January 7, 1998. This modern facility allowed All Weather Windows to expand further in Canada and abroad. New branches in Newmarket, Ontario and Regina, Saskatchewan were established in 2000.
With over 175,000 square feet dedicated to manufacturing - and room to expand - All Weather Windows' new plant has the capability to produce significant volumes of window and door products. This capacity is made possible by using the most modern equipment in the industry, some of it specially built for All Weather Windows' operations.
Today, All Weather Windows sells high quality windows and doors across Canada, and exports to the United States and overseas. All Weather Windows boasts one of the broadest product lines of any Canadian manufacturer, offering Metal Clad Wood and PVC Vinyl windows.
