About Allegheny Ludlum

When it comes to steelmaking, Allegheny Ludlum has a plethora of alloys. Allegheny Ludlum, a subsidiary of Allegheny Technologies, produces flat-rolled steel products and specialty metals such as nickel alloys (corrosion resistant, electronic, and high temperature alloys), silicon electrical steels (grain oriented and relay steels), stainless steel – more... (electrical resistance, high-strength, and super stainless), titanium (alloyed and commercially pure), and tool steels. The company also manufactures armor materials used in civilian and military defense applications. Customers are in the aerospace and defense, chemical processing, oil and gas, electrical and nuclear energy, and medical industries.

Allegheny Ludlum also has a 60% stake in China-based Shanghai STAL Precision Stainless Steel Company Limited. Shanghai Baosteel owns the remaing portion of the joint venture. The facility makes stainless steel strip products and serves China and other Asian markets.
