Alliant Engineering, Inc., a growing, innovative design firm is seeking to fill a key position in our Transportation group. The successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of design duties under the direction of a Transportation Project Manager on large-scale design-build projects in our Denver, Colorado office.
Potential candidates for this position must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, three (3) to six (6) years of highway design experience, and proficiency with utilizing MicroStation CAD software on transportation projects. Experience using GEOPAK or INROADS software on highway design projects is also required. Licensure as a professional engineer is preferred.
The successful applicant will be part of a Project Team that develops plans, specifications, and estimates for final design highway and construction staging projects. This person will utilize Microstation / GEOPAK or INROADS to develop typical sections, horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, cross sections, and other features needed for a complete set of plans. Other duties include resolving design issues with proactive and innovative solutions, checking design work performed by others according to the approved Quality Control Plan, and developing special provisions, specifications, and cost estimates.
