Allianz Global Assistance is a professional and well balanced place to work. I currently work overnight, and the management crew is understanding of the job performed. We are focused on satisfying our customers needs. I love my job because I am happy with my position, also I am satisfied when my customers thanks me for a job well done.

Working as BA for Allianz life insurance for their various products. Allianz Life receives most of its New Business applications via paper. There is some level of automation available on the Variable Annuities group in terms of receiving electronic New Business data and issuing a majority of the applications straight-through. I absolutely loved this internship experience. Allianz is a great employer and exceeded all of my work expectations. The people at Allianz are fun, friendly, and incredibly helpful.

I worked to help compile a competency guide for 2,000 employees, work was always challenging, which I loved! Culture is very fast paced and requires excellence in all work.

Healthy & learning Work Environment with highly supportive management .

People are not promoted to management levels at Allianz based on their management skills but rather for either political reasons or skills as a producer rather than manager. The result is a bunch of managers with neither the will nor ability to manage people and who often think of themselves as competing against the very people that they're managing. – more... This is due to the fact that the review process is on a curve and for every person that looks good at review time there has to be someone that looks bad.

In addition, there is no such thing as real team work in many departments at Allianz. The atmosphere is very politically charged and politics rather than common sense dictate the agenda most of the time.

Finally, opportunities for advancement are slim for departments that have to work closely with the German headquarters due to the flat organizational structure and the fact that the real decision making is done in Germany. – less

Reviewing financial statements and processing all this information using advent Axys. In some cases Bloomberg was needed to confirm information.
Typical days were very busy, not much time for lunch. Excellent work environment and hardworking team.

A typical day at work involved handling complex functions with strong attention to detail. As well as speaking with many internal and external clients.

Oracle 9i, SQL* Plus, PL/SQL, ERwin, TOAD, Stored Procedures.

I was sad to leave but I lived to far away and childcare would cost to much. If I were ever able to work there again I would in a heart beat!

Just an 1 year fo working experience in this organsiation as a fresher which was full of energy and drive to lean from co workers.

During my time at Allianz I spent majority of my time on the phones, taking calls from insurance agents. I continued to learn the importance of building rapport and finishing calls in a timely manner. I was promoted a few times during my tenor and continued to add on the job experiences to my resume. In my experience, management was fair and allowed – more... me to work independently without micro-managing, but was always available to answer any questions, which I appreciated. I always got along with my co-workers because I am respectful and always try to be helpful whenever I can. The hardest part of working in a call center is dealing with difficult callers. Things aren't always gonna go go the way you want them, but it's important to treat every caller with respect and find out what the issue is. Typically, when asking the right questions you're able to resolve most issues. I enjoy the fact that every call is different, so you always have a chance to help someone out. This company helped me interact with people at all levels and discuss their financial life savings! I have met poor people and rich people and it helped me develop my strong analytical points on how to promote life insurance in their household!

Allianz if a wonderful company, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working here. I have been in the Contact Center for two years and am looking for H.R. opportunities outside the company, as our H.R. department is quite small and difficult to break into.

They have the best of everything they try to make work like home everyone works hard and they play hard I wish I could have that job back.

This company was great when it was LifeUSA Ins Co. The new culture doesn't capture people who want to work hard because they feel they aren't secure in their jobs anymore.

A typical day as a Client Service Representative was basically responding to inbound phone calls from clients and broker dealer agents about Variable Annuities.
