Role Summary
As a Municipal Territory Sales Representative, your responsibilities will be to grow and develop the Municipal truck sales business within your assigned territory. Essential and Specific Responsibilities for this position are outlined below.

Essential Responsibilities
Generate new Municipal business, manage and penetrate existing Municipal accounts and grow Municipal customer base within assigned territory.
Achieve or exceed annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals and objectives for your territory.
Constantly work to improve sales effectiveness and efficiencies
Work closely with Fixed Operations Teams and other departments/internal businesses within assigned territory to maximize Municipal sales volume/margin, net profit and customer satisfaction.

Specific Responsibilities
Manage Municipal sales effort/process within assigned territory to maximize Municipal Customer touches and close deals
Penetrate Target Municipal Customers in territory
Penetrate Strategic Municipal Accounts in territory
Travel within assigned territory prospecting, cold calling and setting-up and fulfilling Municipal Customer appointments as well as preparing and presenting Municipal Customer Proposals/Bids within Proposal/Bid Guidelines
Complete daily/weekly Municipal Customer Call/Touch Reports
Effectively manage on-going Municipal Customer relations
Manage Expenses to OP Plan for territory
Complete all training material in a timely manner and with the highest degree of proficiency.
Support the initiatives of other departments within territory
Maximize Municipal Truck sales margins/profits within territory
Identify and communicate opportunities to penetrate customers within territory.
Perform other tasks as assigned
Take an active role in the disposal of all Municipal Trade Vehicles

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Effective oral and written communication skills
Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the Trucking/Transportation Industry serving Municipal Customers, or a related industry
Self-motivated with the highest degree of energy, self-confidence and integrity and the ability to perform well with-out daily supervision
Ability to successfully negotiate with Municipal Customers at all Government levels
Ability to work under pressure both externally and internally across department lines, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple tasks simultaneously
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Exceptional Customer Service Orientation
Proven ability to exceed annual/quarterly/monthly sales goals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Some travel is required
