Almac is a good company to work for if you want to start a career in the pharmaceutical industry. They offer training to teach employees the basics of the pharmaceutical industry and you learn the intricacies as you do the job. There are a lot of tenured employees working at the company who are able to teach newer employees the ropes, and for the most part people are willing to help others. If you're a good worker, management comes to expect a lot from you. People who are not good at their jobs are not expected to improve which can be incredibly frustrating when you work on a two person team and you're the only one picking up the slack. A mocking motto is that the only thing you're rewarded with for doing a good job is more work. Most people at the company are very nice and can make the stress of the job and sometimes extreme hours worked bearable. Upper management doesn't always listen to employee concerns until it's too late and they're threatening or actually leaving the company.
