Taught reading to half the students. Taught math, writing skills, and retaught anything that needed reinforcement to whole class. Then 1/2 hour lunch break. Taught editing, or additional math, computer skills, or visited school library. Then had 1/2 hour break to prepare for character ed instruction, social studies instruction, or science. I would work for the Alpine School Dist. I would substitute for grades K-8. Each job would be different, for example, there would be different grades, classes every day. I would go in and read the job from the teacher, then I would teach the subject.

The district provided great principals to work with. They also encouraged teachers to continue to take classes to enhance their teaching skills and their ability to communicate with students and their parents.
