Provided lots of excellent professional development to improve education.
Teacher (Former Employee), American Fork, UT –
Pros: small group instruction, morning and afternoon, great administration, talented dedicated colleagues
Cons: not much prep time, short lunch time, bathroom breaks difficult.
Taught reading to half the students. Taught math, writing skills, and retaught anything that needed reinforcement to whole class. Then 1/2 hour lunch break. Taught editing, or additional math, computer skills, or visited school library. Then had 1/2 hour break to prepare for character ed instruction, social studies instruction, or science. Dismissed – more...  morning students and taught reading to afternoon students. – less

working when I wanted substitute teaching.
Substitute Teacher (Former Employee), American Fork, UT –
Pros: i could work when i wanted.
Cons: it wasnt consistent
I would work for the Alpine School Dist. I would substitute for grades K-8. Each job would be different, for example, there would be different grades, classes every day. I would go in and read the job from the teacher, then I would teach the subject.

It was a great place to work.
5th grade classroom teacher (Former Employee), Lindon and Pleasant Grove, Utah –
Pros: good benefits and vacation times.
Cons: all lunch periods were spent at school.
The district provided great principals to work with. They also encouraged teachers to continue to take classes to enhance their teaching skills and their ability to communicate with students and their parents.
