Great company to work for. Get to see new areas and meet new people
Medical Records Technician (Former Employee), Piitsburgh PA – May 14, 2013
Pros: good pay, nice people
Cons: not full work weeks
Learn a great amount of new medical software systems. It was great to see new areas instead of going to the same place everyday.

This company needs to make up their minds!
Community Program Specialist/ Golden Touch (Current Employee), Miami Lakes, FL – April 4, 2013
Pros: one hour lunches and weekends off....
Cons: short breaks, treats you like kids, confused, the owner doesn't interact at all!
They are so confusing at this place! They scream and push for making your numbers everyday but what they fire you for is quality (btw the QA there sucks). They want you to make 17/day but you don't have all of the resources to really offer help to members! To get the job they make it seem like this isn't a sales job! THIS IS JUST LIKE A SALES JOB W/O – more... COMMISSION!!!! You cold call people who don't know who you are and offer them something for coupons and arthritis just to get an assist. This company does not really help people! They just want you to send out foolishness so they can get paid from the health plan. Don't waste your time! And if you want to move up in the company forget about it because all of the case managers are going to golden touch anyways! – less

Great Schedule and not time consuming.
Case Manager / Government Relations (Current Employee), Miami Lakes, FL – February 6, 2013
Pros: schedule, privacy, (1hr lunches) and location, activities, meetings
Cons: pay, hr lack of consistency, and irresponsible managers / directors
A typical day at work is Managing employees, speaking with members regarding healthcare and insurance. I've learned allot about the Health Care system and how it works. Learned allot about Health Insurance companies and their processes. Management is not consistent with what is said and then done. Co-workers are great very fun and respectful. The hardest – more... part is the compliance and the inconsistency of the HR department along with the Managing Directors. The most enjoyable part about the Job is the schedule and privacy as a Manager that I have experienced along with the friendly work place of the employees and different cultures working in the environment. Overall good job to do. – less

Love This Company
Medical Records Technician (Former Employee), Holland, MI – January 13, 2013
Pros: excllent pay
Cons: temporary
I love this job I only wish I could do it full time on a year round basis. Went to various medical office and conducted chart reviews. Scanned charts and uploaded to the company.

inconsistent workflow all year round
HCC Coder (Current Employee), remote – December 5, 2012
Pros: very flexible schedule (practically your own)
Typical day at work (from home) starts with wondering if you're going to receive work for the day, usually no updates are received by management on the status of the workflow. I learned to work independently and to apply my critical thinking skills to coding scenarios, with the help of the internet too. Not much interaction with co-workers since this – more... is a remote position. The hardest part of this job is that management is hard to reach when you need help, there is an inconsistent workflow all year round and lack of incentives for home coders. – less

Another horrible company
PM (Current Employee), Miami – December 4, 2012
Pros: good benefits.
Cons: well they just suck so let's just leave it at that.
VPs are all over the place. A previous review captured it perfectly . That company is a chicken without a head. They couldn't do a worse job even if they tried. Altegra is just another failed business model under a new company name. Nothing more.

CEO needs to really look into who he hires underneath him.

Flexible and stress free workplace
Medical Records Technician (Current Employee), Mobile AL – November 15, 2012
Pros: usually stress free environment
Cons: you do not get 40 hours a week
I go to different doctor offices everyday to scan medical charts. The hardest part of the job is making sure you do not leave anything valuable out that you may need. The most enjoyable part of the job is that it is not stressful at all. Management is usually on top of everything except scheduling enough hours a week.

Chicken without a head!!
IT (Former Employee), Miami Lakes – July 24, 2012
Management makes unexpected, unexplained, and unneeded changes that are bad for business and morale.

More VPs than a bank!

No raises regardless of your workload.

Medical Records Technician (Former Employee), Multiple locations – March 13, 2012
Pros: superior wages and benefits
Cons: short term project job.
Altegra Health was an amazing company to work for. The training and tools provided made for a positive experience. Even though the company is based in California, managers and project coordinators were always a phone call, email or text message away.

Young company with lot of uncertainty
Project Coordinator (Current Employee), Los Angeles, CA – February 29, 2012
As a young company made up of several mid-sized companies, Altegra Health is still in its transition phase and the future is not as clear as one would like it to be. The company is in position to be a market leader if they do things right.
