Alternative Press Magazine is seeking a smart, self-motivated and resourceful individual to join our team as our National Advertising Sales Manager. Our company is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio but prospective candidates can currently live in either the New York City or Los Angeles areas. The successful candidate will have an active network of client/agency relationships and a proven track record of building and delivering solid marketing solutions in an effective and scalable way.
This position will oversee existing national business in addition to establishing relationships with new marketing and advertising partners for our online/digital initiatives, print publications and events/tours. The candidate should be current with contemporary youth culture, movies/television, online, style, as well as music and technology trends. They must be social network savvy and understand the ever-developing world of digital marketing and advertising.
*Must be able to identify new business opportunities; understand clients' needs and present them with relevant solutions.
*Responsible for the entire sales process: identifying sales opportunities and carrying through to meet revenue goals.
*Creating custom proposals, preparing presentations and managing the overall packages that are delivered to clients.
*Overseeing a remote sales team of 2-3 representatives, monitoring their week-to-week objectives, assisting with problem solving while setting and assisting with sales goals.
*Develop and execute cross-platform marketing/advertising campaigns for clients; from content creative to implementation.
*Work closely with our Marketing team to develop and sell sponsorship opportunities through a variety of events and national tours.
*Partner with Finance on budget and revenue reporting.
*Minimum 3 years print and/or digital sales experience. Digital sales experience is a MUST.
*Established portfolio with regards to potential clients and partners
*Dynamic, flexible, hard-working and highly organized.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
*Well organized with good attention to detail.
*Fully educated on youth culture (16-24 demo) including movies/television, music, online, technology and style.
