Logistics OPS - Person Advance Sr (Current Employee) – Bethpage, NY – June 13, 2017
After Altice bought out Cablevision they set forth to cut the work force in half. They made promises they did not keep concerning job security. People were being told one thing when the opposite was happening. Rumors are allowed to go unanswered. It is a very tense work environment.
Co-workers, pool tables, fooseball, BBQ's rewards program.
VDO Senior Analyst, Field Service (Former Employee) – Stratford, CT – June 12, 2017
when it was first known as cablevision owned by the dolan family it was great. The pay was outstanding and so was the medical insurance. Unfortunately once optimum was bought out by Altice it went down hill from there.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE 1 (Former Employee) – Newark, NJ – June 11, 2017
My most memorable and enjoyable job. This was my first real job. The supervisors, managers are supportive and encourage your growth. The benefits are excellent. Learn yor work, perform to the best of your abilities and you'll be recognized.
Manager Business Planning (Current Employee) – Bethpage, NY – June 7, 2017
I enjoyed the great family atmosphere and ability to move up in the company. The benefits and salary are comparable to industry standards. Its a fast pace environment where you need to be flexible and adaptable.
Since Altice take over, many things have changed. Raises are for minute amounts, little chance for advancement within the company. The customer is not the priority AFTER the initial sign up. Upper management threatening jobs, shifting and closing departments. Not good.
Standard benefits, paid time off.
Low employee moral, upper management set unachievable goals.
Employee moral has declined since sale of the company
Customer Service (Current Employee) – New York, NY – June 6, 2017
The companies policies seem more driven towards finding devious ways to obtain more money from customers, than towards providing a positive customer experience. Local management is great, but there is only so much they can do with what they are being given to improve on a steadily declining work environment.
Layoffs, Layoffs, Layoffs - Typical Overseas Company
Leadership Team (Former Employee) – New York, NY – May 29, 2017
Purchased an employee centric Cablevison company and turned it into a typical overseas dollar-cents Altice company with no loyalty to employees.. very sad but yet CEO purchased a 25 million dollar getaway in the Hamptons
Marketing (Current Employee) – Bethpage, NY – May 12, 2017
Ever since the merger, it is not the same company to work for. You work harder, longer with less people. It is expected that you either get the work done, or look for another job. Even those that work really hard and put in the time are not noticed or recognized for their efforts.
At one time personnel was taken into consideration and highly valued.
Secretary II (Administrative Assistant) (Former Employee) – Norwalk, CT – May 10, 2017
