Good people to work with

This job could be stressful at time, but overall I enjoy it. I would say that the hardest part of the job is multi-tasking, a bunch of things can be thrown at you at once. The best way to overcome it is just to take care of the most important one first, but be sure to get all task done. You do work in a hospital facility so you need to be extra cheerful – more... for as your patient may be sick and in pain. Use commercial and military-unique software to perform network engineering and problem resolution.

Great place to work and I worked with some great co-workers.

No real training was offered. The company was located in Virginia and I worked in Illinois. We didn't have management available to us we kept switching sister company worrying whether or not the company would win the bid for our contract.

People working in the Corporate are all professionals, and the management always think of the safetiness of their people.

Conduct security patrols and log all activity, learn DOD guidelines on security levels. Part of the job is staying non complacent. The most enjoyable part is the independence.

I serve as a security officer to observe and report. Inspect property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, illegal activity. Wonderful team. But little communication or direction from upper management as far as the Government side of the project. Alutiiq itself was great and supportive. Pleasant to work for.

Getting to work with a group of soldiers and civilian instructors that loved their job and had passion about their contribution to protect our nation was outstanding. I was trained by someone that helped develop great work ethic in me and taught me how to accomplish more in my day. I enjoyed working with all of my co-workers.. Good people who worked together to get the job done. One of the best work experiences in 50 years.

A very laid back and fast working atmosphere, most of the staff is military retirees with some contractors thrown in for variety. The hardest part is getting past the monthly luncheons without having to go the gym.

Alutiiq is a good company to work for they have good benefits. with my 2 years working with them I had no problems.

A typical day of work consist of analyzation of information on multiple data bases and also physical documentation review. I've learned that the key to managing a workload is detail and organization. While serving in a management position you must be flexible and able to operate in multiple roles on any giving day. My co-worker are all diverse but we – more... work well together to accomplish the goal of serving our customer with quality service. There isn’t really a hard part of the job some days you may have to fill in to assist on other projects but comes with the territory of this particular field. The Miami office is so unstable (8) Contract Managers in the last 6 years. There is no RESPECT for Officers from Mngmnt, nor for the Supervisor's; which leads to Officers back stabbing eachother to keep their jobs. Nobody wants to be a Supervisor so the company that has to go outside the work force to hire Supervisor's, that says it all!!!! The Miami – more... office has had in the past 8 years over 40 Supervisors come and go. It's amazing this is what Government Buildings rely on for protection... – less

I have learned alot from this company/contract. I came into this field with very little knowledge, and I now feel that I possess the proper skills to be very sucessfull in electronics.

Good Place to work and grow. My co-workers are hard working people who try and make a difference in everyone's lives.
