Good Company to work for
BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER (Current Employee), Evansville, INJanuary 1, 2014
The company as a whole is good. However, the stress levels are high and the individual level is not great.

I would not recommend this company to anyone for employment.
Hospice Case Manager (Former Employee), E Providence, RIDecember 30, 2013
Pros: paid well
Cons: not to be trusted.
The company was a problem from the beginning to the end of my association with them. My only explanation for the myriad of problems is that it came from the top on down.

I do not want to relive the time that I worked for them, hence, my unwillingness to detail specifics. But, unless a complete overhaul of the top people occurs, save yourself lots of – more... aggravation and keep on looking. – less

Swinging with 3 bats
Director of Operations/Licensed Administrator (Current Employee), Dallas, TXDecember 1, 2013
Pros: lots of training, great pay, experienced staff
Cons: needs closer connection between senior mngt and care centers
Everyone knows you don't go to Amed for vacation. This is where home health and hospice employees go to hone their skill-craft. As the title goes; "swinging with 3 bats" so you can hit a home run with one. Others may feel the company is overkill but I like to think of it as going to Yale vs Tulsa Community College ;)

Does not promot career growth
Support Systems Analyst (Current Employee), Baton Rouge, LAOctober 30, 2013
Pros: non-exstistant
Cons: everything
Company does not promote career growth. Favoritism is played daily. Stonewalling is played daily. Basically just a job not a career.

Inconsistent management/failure to support employees.
Medical Social Worker (Current Employee), Durham, NCOctober 27, 2013
Pros: serving patients and their families.
Cons: inability to work autonomously
I would like to work for a company that values their employees, and is supportive of their work.
I have learned that working for a company that fails to provide positive feedback dooms employee moral.

The most enjoyable part of my job is serving my patients and their families.

The most difficult aspect of the job is the inconsistency in management – more... and the failure for management to lead by example.

Of late, it has become a hostile environment that prevents me from being who I am as a person and a social worker. – less

Fun job, Good relationship with co-workers
RN I (Former Employee), Tuscaloosa, AlOctober 17, 2013
Pros: relationships with patients
Cons: losing patient
Made home visits to home bound patients. Provided
assessments, wound care, teaching, and any other
needs noted. Built a good raport with patients and families. Provide support between MD and patient. Each day I think I learned something
new about the nursing profession. It may be
a question asked by the patient that required
research or just a bit of – more... information received
from a co-worker. The intraction between the
patients and others was always a highlight of the
day. – less

Pros: free lunch, friendly environment
As a case management intern I was able to shadow the social worker and even do my own site visits and evaluations. I also performed a case study. Everyone is so nice and easy to get along with, and it is so organized that nobody is ever rushed or angry. I loved this place!

Fair place to work
RN Case Manager (Former Employee), Londonderry, NHOctober 9, 2013
Loved working for Amedisys up north but in the south it was a poor place to work. Few resources and staff members so burden of work increased for few employees there. Supervisor was not understanding and had no patience and employee retention was poor.

Home Health Nurse (Former Employee), Salem OregonOctober 6, 2013
Impossibly heavy workload for everyone everyday. Staff being told by Director to have the work done in 8 hours everyday or she may not be able to pay us for the hours we have worked. High stress, pressure. No support from director or regional director. Everyone has left.
