Started off great but.....
Funding Specialist (Former Employee) – Spartanburg, SC – September 3, 2016
This started off as a great company, but over the years things have steadily gone down hill. Medical benefits have gotten worse. As of now, there are only two plans available. One has a $2,500 deductible and the other is $3,000. The $2,500 deductible plan is expensive and the other plan is hdhp so you're basically paying for everything out of pocket unless something catastrophic happens. HR has made the culture very uncomfortable by taking away anything that they have deemed as privileges for the employees. There is no flexibility for the employees even when it's in the best interest of the company. HR has made it so tense to the point that it's an issue for an employee to come in early, even if it's only a few minutes. This is a good company for one to gain some experience, but there is a high turnover rate due to employee dissatisfaction. The employees are mostly hard- working, but they are miserable and it shows. The CEO does make attempts to hear what the employees have to say, but very few, if any improvements have been made. Lastly, management tends to make decisions that do not make good business or even logical sense sometimes. They would be more successful if they communicated with the people who do the job on a daily basis, but most of them don't take enough time to research the processes before changing them. It makes things harder for those who are doing the work and confuses the customers.
Occasional luncheons, clean facility, work- life balance
Few advancement opportunities, benefits, employees do not feel valued
