American HealthTech was a privately owned company that started in Jackson, MS in 1982. It's founders believed in core values, and ethics. They cared for their employees and understood their success directly impacted the overall success of the company and customers they serviced. The Long Term Care industry that AHT services has a foundation rooted in care.
AHT regularly displayed care to their emloyees in bonuses, awards, recognition, etc. When I started in 2008, turnover was nonexistent.
AHT has recently sold to a larger company named Healthland. Both HL and AHT are part of a venture capitalist firm, Francisco Partners that simply make decisions based on bottom line profit. That's understandable as they are a Venture Capitalist Firm.
I do not want to work for a company that does not care about it's employees or its customers, but rather what a Cash Flow statement looks like on a project this quarter.
