The Quad Learning digital platform is the hub of the learning experience for the entire American Honors community of students, faculty and advisors. We are seeking a QA Software Engineer intern to join our fast-growing product development team on the forefront of education technology. You will collaborate directly with our engineers, designers and managers in an agile startup environment to continuously build, test and deploy new features for our user community.

-Build a full understanding of our product roadmap, technical architecture, and the priorities of our users
-Take initiative to identify and solve problems. Everyone on our team is a leader!
-Find, report and track product bugs through resolution
-Learn to write code and use tools such as Cucumber and Selenium for automation tests
-Create acceptance test plans and test cases for product features
-Execute manual and automated test cases across the entire product platform
-Be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
-Engage directly with our users through answering support requests and troubleshooting specific user issues
-Bring all of your skills and talents to work every day. We will put them to use!

-Basic programming skills and understanding of web development concepts.
-Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently and solve problems
-High level of initiative and self motivation
-Working knowledge and experience with Ruby, Javascript, SQL, MVC frameworks and Linux administration a plus
-Working toward a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
-Interest in new business start-ups

Approximate Hours: 8-10 week summer internship to begin in mid to late-May running through early August. Hourly wage is $12-$15/hour commensurate with experience. Successful interns have possibility to continue with part-time work or conversion into a full-time position in 2014.
