Photographer's Assistant, Olive Branch, MS - May 14, 2015
I loved working at AMS until things went downhill. I worked 8-5 in the photography department. I was hired on to be a cropper/photo assistant and was told I would be able to become a full time photographer, which I thought was great because I have a degree in photography. Having management in NJ was good and bad sometimes. We were extremely micro managed.

I got benefits after 90 days and was trained to be a photographer after 120 days. I was laid off exactly one week after I was trained. No explanation, no warning. I guess that's what you get with the "employed at-will" laws, but I believe it was unfair. I loved my job and it was a dream job to have, until I was blindsided. Do not let them fool you.
