Working in Pakistan
Volunteer Work (Former Employee) –  PKJuly 16, 2017
I went to volunteer in Pakistan during summer for the American Refugee Committee. I worked in a flood stricken area and educated the local about sanitation, hygiene, and how to prevent disease and the spread of it.
I worked in a rural area west of Pakistan..
The experience was unique, we had shelters to sleep in but the conditions were not great. The area had mosquito infestation from the standing water, so we had put up mosquito nets, made sure we boiled our water, tried to get rid of all the standing water within our area.
We provided sanitation for the refugees and helped out in any way we could to better their situation.
