Senior Officer (Former Employee) – Milwaukee, WI – September 19, 2017
A typical work day at American security for me would be Arriving at park bank at 8:30 ( the account i was stationed) getting the Security Cameras and computer set up making sure everything is in place. Checking with the bank tellers and personal bankers to see if they've notice anything weird while they were on their way into work.communicating with my partner to make sure we checked everything off the to do list before opening time. 9 am rolls around the bank has open to the public making sure no suspicious activities are going on outside or inside of the bank. keeping everything smooth and quiet for the clerks and the customers while maintaining a safe area outside for customers to approach the bank. 5pm comes around once again talk to the clerks to make sure the day was safer than the day before for them walking around to make sure the bank is still secure all doors and windows watch each teller and personal banker get into their car safe and sound lock down the bank and head home to prepare myself to do it all over it the next day.

Communications Center Operator (Former Employee) – Inver Grove Heights, MN – July 31, 2017
After four years with this company, the daily routine was someone would not show for shift, regular personnel late for shift. Management were some of the worst offender for arriving last minute or late. Personnel are placed in positions they are not trained for under the warm body theory. After 4 years of covering shifts for others, following the policies and expecting others to do the same you find it serves no purpose because only certain people are held accountable and to standards.
Security Officer (Former Employee) – Pueblo, CO – July 2, 2017
* very busy day at work * Productive skills * people were always friendly and would help out when needed. * there was always new things for us all to do everyday. * taking care of everything while you are dealing with a bad client * driving all over and being able to just enjoy the conversations with some of your fellow employees.
Security Officer (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – June 13, 2017
I worked for this company for a year. I enjoyed the job but pay wasn't all that great. But it was a job. Once of the supervisors from the northside district was mean and unprofessional when I was there.
Security Officer (Former Employee) – Jefferson, GA – June 12, 2017
American Security is a contract company. It was contracted to Hubbell Lighting in Jefferson GA. A typical day is logging trucks in and out, patrolling parking and indoor warehouse making sure all doors and areas are secured at all times, viewing cctv monitors, and issuing keys in and out. The management for American Security at that post wasn't very knowledgeable of the rules and regulations of the company and the warehouse. They often did not answer or return calls when needed. The management within the warehouse were slightly strict on the aspects of the job however were able to answer various questions.
Very busy job, great co workers, high turnover rate
Security Officer / Guard (Former Employee) – Delphi, IN – June 12, 2017
Very poor management. Family issues with management and staffing. Manager had a very poor role model figure as far as being punctual, appropriate, professional, and did not follow any labor laws as far as time off, requested time off, raises, promotions. Other than the poor management, I liked the people I worked with and I enjoyed the job. The poor management ruined the entire job.
Good co workers
Poor management, little to no breaks, high stress, forced overtime, requested time off was always forgot about and denied

Great work, great hours, great managers, great pay, great coworkers. overall great experience these past two years. watch cameras and greet people entering the building and pay attention to unusual sounds.
American Security does not value their employees the way a company should. If you are hurt on the job, they have been known to look for any reason to terminate that persons employment without any compensation and if any money is owed to the employee they will refuse to pay it.
Good place to work, typical day was performing security duties, management good. co workers good. Usually work alone, so no problem with co workers. Hardest part was night shift, enjoyed meeting people
