I'm educated, qualified, young and hardworking. I've been seeking a good training position in Atlanta for over 5 months now. I've submitted well over 40 resumes and applications to several different companies which resulted in only 2 interviews. Why is it so hard to find a job in Atlanta???????? I've done everything that I can think of, what is going on with Atlanta?? Please help! Is there anyone out there with an answer to my question?

AIG's turnover is ridiculous they have the same adds over and over. Thank God I am employed but still like to look at the ads from time to time and AIG has been advertising the same position over the past year!!!! Go figure. If you think of applying - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

Be careful when applying for a job on AIG's website. There is a disclaimer that states information sent to them may be sent to other countries who have no laws affecting protection of your personal information. Here it is verbatim: I consent to the usage, storage and processing of the information about me that I provided through this Website, including storing it in relevant databases, for the purposes of processing my online employment application. In addition, the information may be disclosed to a third-party service provider for the purpose of organizing, storing and processing the application, and may be disclosed to other AIG Companies in order to fill a particular position of employment. I understand that the information may be transferred to countries that do not have legislation which imposes data protection requirements and I affirmatively consent to the inapplicability of world-wide data protection of any information I submit. If I do not provide you with all of the necessary information, I understand that you may not be able to process my application. I declined and my application was NOT processed. I then sent an email to AIG with a copy of their disclaimer asking them to tell me what their policy was when it came to protecting my personal inforamtion. They never responded... FYI...identity theft is THE fastest growing crime in this country. Be careful where your personal inforamtion is sent.

What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does American stack up against the competition?
