I always see information about working as a loan officer for Amerisave, but never anything about the Underwriting, Processing, or Closing side. I would really appreciate some of Amerisave's Operations staff to talk a bit about working for Amerisave Mortgage in that capacity. What's the company culture like, how is working from home working, do you have the support you need, do they offer training for your DE and LAPP, etc??

Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at AMERISAVE MORTGAGE?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at AMERISAVE MORTGAGE?

Do you work at AMERISAVE MORTGAGE? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?
Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Amerisave is a joke. They have zero support for their outside sales people. They say you can build teams but thats a lie also. Their commision split is a lie. They take the 1st $1000 then they take loan loss reserves of over 30%. Then they take their cut and pay you 80% of whats left. its actually about 40-50%.. Inside sales is no better. They careless about people... I watched as top producer after top producer came and went. Upper management is making all the money.. They have little support to support top producers. I had weeks that I submitted over 10 lock requests and would only get 5 or less actually locked. They dock your pay for any and every reason they can. Managers care less about your loans because they have 50 or more people on their teams so as long as everyone is doing a few loans they make big bucks.. RUN RUN RUN from Amerisave as fast as you can!!!!!!!! By the way their CRM lead system is so out of compliance that I pray one day I get a call from an investigator so they can be shut down once and for all. They are the scum of the business and give the rest of us a bad name....

AMEIRSAVE IS A JOKE AND INSULT TO ANY HUMAN BEING THAT IS HONESTLY TRYING TO GET THE JOB DONE AND EARN A LIVING.
THEY NOT IN THE BUSINESS TO CLOSE LOANS, THEY GET PAID BY GOOGLE WITH THE "PAY PER CLICK" BY GOOGLE...LOOK YOURSELF ON THEIR WEBSITE...THEN ONCE SOMEONE PULLS A RATE QUOTE, THEY HAVE LINKS TO BANKRATE.COM TO COMPARE WITH OTHER LENDERS...BTW...ALL OTHER LENDERS WILL HAVE LOWER FEES..THEN WHAT COMPANY IN A GOOD STATE OF MIND WOULD SEND CUSTOMERS TO OTHER LOWER PRICE COMPETITORS? THEY ALSO GET PAID EACH TIME SOMEONE CLICKS ON THOSE LINKS!
THE WORST PROBLEM WITH THEM WAS THE SUPPORT. WHEN YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER CALLING FOR AN UPDATE ON THEIR LOANS AND YOU CALL AND EMAIL YOUR TEAM LEAD OR PROCESSOR FOR AN ASSISTANCE AND CAN'T GET THEM TO RETURN YOUR MESSAGES...THRE ARE NO RESPECT FOR AN EMPLOYEE TRYING TO FEED A FAMILY AND THE CUSTOMER THAT IS COUNTING ON THEM TO GET A LOAN..THERE IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY JUST DON'T CARE! THE TEAM LEADERS WON'T RETURN YOUR CALLS, NOONE IN THE COMPANY WILL RETURN A PHONE CALL! NOT EVEN IF A CUSTOMER IS CALLING FOR AN UPDATE ON A LOAN...I REALLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND THIS
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS COMPANY IS STILL IN BUSINESS....JUST CHECK THE BBB FOR HUNDREDS OF UNRESOLVED COMPLAINTS AGAINST AMERIDAVE...AND LET'S NOT FORGET RIPOFFREPORT.COM WHERE YOU WILL BE HORRIFIED WITH CUSTOMERS STORIES THAT WHEN I READ THEM I FELT LIKE I WROTE THEM BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SOME OF MY CUSTOMERS AND I AS A LO WENT THRU..THEY GO GET LOTS OF BUSINESS AND CAN'T HANDLE THE VOLUME..BUT THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO TREAT EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS LIKE GARBAGE.
THE COMMISSION IS NOT TRUE! AT AMERISAVE THEY SAY YOU GET UP TO 80% COMMISSION BUT NOT FROM YSP THEY GET IN THE BACK..IN REALITY YOU'RE GETTING 80% FROM 50%, DO THE MATH! LIARS! WHY NOT JUST BE HONEST AND TELL THE LOs THE COMMISSION IS 40 OR 50% SO THEY CAN PAY THEIR EXECUTIVES AND HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ADDS ON BANKRATE.COM...
SEE FOR YOURSELF..CHECK THE BBB AND RIPOFFREPORTS.COM

Good question. Here's the answer:
It will close if you are a plain vanilla loan: 80% loan to value ratio, good income for the last two years, excellent credit and excellent assets in the bank.
If you are self employed with a successful business, forget about it! If you are retired with steady income and assets, forget about it! The underwriters will look for ANYTHING to disqualify your loan and I mean anything. If you happen to get a loan officer that actually cares about their client like me, you will fight tooth and nail with the underwriter via your team manager (don't expect any support for at least one week), then his manager or the processing manager if you care to spend that much effort. In the interim, you are missing all the other calls in the call center and not locking new deals.
If you have more than five loans, forget about trying to provide any service to your clients... you are too busy following up on loan needs (stips) and battling it out or as most loan officers in this company do, ignore the phone calls, cancel the loans and move on to the next client because they aren't going to make a whole lot of money anyway so gotta find the next easy call/loan situation that you can just slam together.
Oh yeah, forget it if you have a credit score of less than 700... this company will just ignore you completely! Btw, the minimum fico they claim they will sell is 640 on an government product.

If anyone has the answers to these questions, I would greatly appreciate the feedback:
I'm curious as to whether Amerisave provides all it's L/O's with a dedicated office line, e-fax, email, website, etc., OR if these items are only provided to the L/O's that qualify to take inbound live transfer leads?
If you plan on just purchasing your own internet leads, do you have to get your own toll-free line and pay for it, etc.?
Also, what is the split on referral business? That is business that does not come off of internet leads, but deals that I bring to to the table entirely on my own?
I have been toying with the idea of joining Amerisave since August. However, I don't want to be caught up in some mortgage MLM weird scheme or something. Thank you.

What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at AMERISAVE MORTGAGE?
What do you like best about working at AMERISAVE MORTGAGE? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

I have spent 10 years working for Cendant/PHH and GMAC. I like the idea of working from home. Do they provide you with the phone system? Can you choose your hours? What is the base salary? Are the benefits any good (need to insure my wife and kids).
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

I currently work for one of the nations top lenders where I make a 24k salary plus commission. I am considering making the switch to Amerisave but I've heard that it's comission only. I'm concerned about the first couple months while I build up a client base. Do they offer a sign on bonus or something that I would be able to use to pay my rent, etc while I'm first getting started? Or does someone have some ideas for me? Thanks!
