Rewarding and secure employment for 30 years.
Service Representative/Data (Former Employee), Southfield , MI – May 2, 2013
Pros: easy work environment, great managers, benefits
Cons: long drive in winter.
Each day was very multi task oriented. Phone calls to internal personel, contacts with customers, computer input of complex data orders, email, online training, problem solving.

The experience taught me the art of patience and organizagion which greatly increase my ability to perform my job with speed and accuracy.

It was easy to team up with my co-workers – more... as we all were ready to help one another with complex and challenging projects. These projects could be very difficult and detailed and would very often be needed in short time frames. By working together we would complete these tasks in time and therefore our managers were pleased.

I find it very satisfying to work with many different people and that was what I enjoyed about my co-workers and my job. I prefer working with a team and feel I am my most productive in that setting. – less

Providing Help Desk Support
Senior Technical Director (Former Employee), Chicago, IL – April 7, 2013
Pros: flexibility in work at home
Cons: one works longer hours without interruption
Fortune 100 Telecommunications company. I experienced consolidations of 3 corporations - Ameritech, SBC, and AT&T. All had similiar cultures as they all were originally AT&T, yet each had unique differences. I managed corporate help desks for internal employees and contractors using proprietary software. My teams provided 7x24 support and although I – more... was physically in Chicago i managed teams in California and Missouri virtually. My teams were knowledgeable and took pride and pleasure in supporting our client base. When required to provide support 7x24 hardest part is the 3am call to a support bridge to resolve a problem, – less

Productive and a fun place worked for.
Administrative, Analyst, Business Manager (Former Employee), Chicago, IL – December 20, 2012
Pros: free lunches most of the time, cab and limo rides home at night after hours.
Cons: sometimes work can be a bit much.
Most of the time there I enjoyed my job. I got to work closely with the media of television, radio and newspaper. Was on a one-on-one name basis with the reporters. Attended all conferences including Ameritech/SBC Golf Open which included senior pro golfers, sports figures (Michale Jordan) and actors and actress.

Productive work place, but needs managment work.
Forklift Operator (Former Employee), Spring, TX – September 25, 2012
They produced lots of mobile homes, for majior contractors. But they laid off a bunch of people, due to bad communication from managment. They were given the wronge blue prints for building instructions. That lead to the delay of any more work being produced.

Technical Assistant in Const./Eng. Depart. (Former Employee), Dayton, OH – September 19, 2012
Pros: we saw a lot of changes in the phone system.
Cons: we had great benefits and still do.
Started as a long distance operator, before direct dialing, office work and went to the Constuction/Engineering department. Ordered material for outside forces and tracked informaton on field prints. We were a close group.
Hardest part of the job is when the Xenia tornado
hit.

VEry productive workplace.
Customer Service Representative, Trainer (Former Employee), Arlington Heights, IL – August 20, 2012
Pros: excellent benefits.
Cons: long days, weekends.
A typical day includes speaking with customers to assist them in placing orders to process requests for services to begin to be disconnected.

I learned to process orders in a timely and efficient manner; assuring customer satisfaction.

Management assured training was efficient and that the employees were provided what they needed to get the job done.

Co-workers – more... assisted each other in getting the quality work out.

The hardest part of the job was satisfying a customer that for one reason or another may have be discontented with the services, (maybe the bill was higher than expected; or the service had not been connneted when the customer had requested. My job was assure this customer was cared for and was satified with the service once the call wa completed.

The other aspects of the position was to make the sales quota that were set; usually quotas were very high, fortunatelly I wa able to achieve the goals required; ( though I do not deem this as my strongest asset.)

The most enjoyable portion of the job were when we would receive sales awards, and the company would reward everyone for the job we had done. I was allowed the opportunity to traing the company employees on a new computer system that had been implemented.

That was a very exciting experience. – less

Call center atmosphere with high call volume.
Sales Representative / Collections (Former Employee), Chicago, IL – August 5, 2012
Pros: first real training experience
Cons: no seniority
Answering inbound calls, assisting customers with payment arrangements as well as education them on new products and services. I learned how to have patience with irate callers. The hardest part about the job was having little seniority due to being the youngest in the office I wasn't able to have desired schedule. The most enjoyable part of this job – more... was gaining a knowledge of how to talk to a variety of people while helping them solve an issue and educating them on how to possibly handle matters in the future. – less
