Not a Good Choice for the Career-Minded Individual
Marketing Specialist (Former Employee) – Stone Mountain, GA – June 2, 2014
I was in marketing and was worked like a dog. 60+ hour weeks were standard, lots of working from home on nights/weekends/Christmas, etc. just to stay three weeks behind schedule. They created a new Sales VP position to whom I then had to report, and the guy was an old buddy of the CEO. Anyone who knows anything about running a business does NOT put sales over marketing, or vice-versa, and the guy was a BS master. Supposedly had 28+ years in sales but had no idea what a pop-up display was (for example). When I got tired of him blaming me for his screw-ups and started copying others on our e-mail correspondence as a cover-my-*** measure, I was promptly fired. This is NOT a company you want to work for unless you just need a paycheck to float you until a real job comes along.
Long hours, poor management
