Meat Cutter (Current Employee) –  Batesburg, SCNovember 30, 2017
Its not the best or easiest but it gets the bills paid. It's an easy hiring process and they don't discriminate based on your criminal record. Good first job for someone that has never worked and really needs a job

Production Associate (Former Employee) –  Hurlock, MDOctober 19, 2017
Its an ok place to work for. Great pay after 6 months. You can cross train and advance within the company. They could offer another 15 minute break especially for night shift because after lunch which is usually around 830, you might not get off work until 1 in the morning in which yoou are standing the rest of the time.

If you need a job quick it's the way to go. Have to work to long to advance on the job. Work culture is not that great. You can work until you find something different.

Breast Trimmer (Former Employee) –  Batesburg, SCAugust 28, 2017
Just do your job as good as possible..
Respect others and listen to your supervisors as they train you on your job...It's a great job if you're a fast paced worker..
One thing I don't like about the job is the lack of personal life and the lack of energy when you're off.
Pros
Discounts on chicken and company clothing...
Cons
Short breaks...Very cold environment...Very fast paced job...

QA Inspector (Former Employee) –  Batesburg, SCAugust 25, 2017
Nothing really good to say, beside they pay well. Management was only seen when there was a problem, never there to help. They hire people like they are a sweat shop, not caring about the people that work for them.

Amicks farms is not a place I would recommend if your looking for something long term. It's below average pay in very cold conditions at a steady pace. Your on your feet 8-10 hrs in 22 degree weather.

Scale Operator (Former Employee) –  Batesburg-Leesville, SCJuly 25, 2017
Decent job with decent pay and benefits the management is laid back on most days but very rude when they do interact with the employees. Its a work at your own pace type job and in certain positions your production rate determines the bonus u receive.

It was okay but the pay wasn't much. The job required me being in hot water with water proof suits that made me sweat a lot from the steam an hot water. Like any other job it had it's pros an cons.
Pros
Paid holidays and working under your own time
Cons
Some days the water pressure is really low making it hard to clean the machine.

Thigh room/production (Former Employee) –  Batesburg, SCJuly 12, 2017
The people are very rude. They don't give you enough time to train for the job position you have. Place you on too many different jobs without training you properly. Expects too much with little pay. No support.
