Just Don't Pay Enough
AML Analyst (Current Employee) –  Cleveland, OHJanuary 14, 2018
Great atmosphere. Laid back management, company is growing fast, but they don't pay a living wage. They do train you and will hire based on intelligence and not experience, but after a year I am still making 10K less than the market value for my position. If you have any experience at all, do not join this firm. If you have no experience and are interested in how AML work is done (and have some savings to lean on) this isn't a bad place to pick up skills, but get out as soon as you can.
Pros
Laid Back, Will Train You, reasonable benefits package
Cons
Low Wages, corporate structure is a mess, high turnover

If you're looking for a way to get your foot in the door for the AML/BSA industry, then by all means apply. You will be overworked with poor management, but the experience you garner from it will help you move on to another AML-related job that will treat and value you better.
Pros
experience
Cons
micromanaging, overworked

Employees are able to work independently, although there is a lot of oversight on work submitted digitally. All time spent at cubicle desk. Emphasis on meeting production goals.

Just no. Great entry level if you have nothing better going on for you. If you have to settle and take something and this is the only viable fit then take it.

The company is based on production. The requirements are not strenuous. The management and office environment are relaxed and approachable. The compensation and benefits are fair.

Fun people to work with. Relaxed atmosphere.
AML Investigator / Quality Control (Current Employee) –  Phoenix, AZSeptember 4, 2017
Learned a lot about money laundering and financial crime reporting. Clients are allowed to poach current employees which makes for a very odd atmosphere after 6 months.
Pros
Great Experience
Cons
most employees seek new employment within 6 months

Entry Level Compliance Firm
AML Analyst (Current Employee) –  Phoenix, AZAugust 22, 2017
AML Rightsource is a company that was recently bought out by an investment firm due to its rapid growth. With roughly 150 analysts in October 2016, a Phoenix and Hudson office were open and now the company is nearing 600 employees in roughly 10 months. As will any rapid growth there are constant changes, major hickups with the inexperienced management staff, as well as no job advancement or competitive salaries. Overall the company is a great way to get your foot in the door in AML but nothing more. Official job titles go from Analyst to Manager. Typically there are 4 or 5 positions in between. Managers are overworked and lack experience, and the company only advances you if you're "one of the bro's".
Pros
Happy Hours, Lax Environment
Cons
Low Salary, No opportunity, Poor Management

Unprofessional company
Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Analyst (Former Employee) –  Cleveland, OHSeptember 6, 2015
Two years ago, the company staffed about 15 employees. Now there are over 100 employees. The company is growing too fast and the partners do not know how to manage it. What was once a small company, is now a very "up and down" operation. The ups and downs affect the partners most of all and they often show their frustrations through threatening corporate emails. The CEO of the company has gathered all of the men in the office (about 50) into one room so he could yell about how there was an empty toilet paper roll in the restroom stall. Very unprofessional company that is too large for the partners to maintain.
Pros
Beautiful office
Cons
No home life, low pay, 50-60 hours, low employee morale
