Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency (AACCAA) Head Start Program is seeking an Education Coordinator. AACCAA is a nonprofit organization that is based in Annapolis, Maryland.
Education Qualifications and Experience: The Education Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that a plan of daily activities of enrichment and care for children is implemented in classrooms according to Head Start Performance Standards; assist with oversight of the daily operations of six Centers including supervision of education staff. Under the direction of the Director of Children Services, promotes the school readiness of children by providing technical assistance, mentoring, and training. The planning of children’s readiness to learn involves culturally responsive, integrated service delivery of child development, disabilities, and mental health that supports learning environments to promote children’s growth in language, literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional development, creative arts, physical development, and approaches to learning. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Services, Human Development or other related field. Must have experience with Head Start and Early Childhood Education; must have management and supervisory experience.
