Pros: i met a lot of nice people and made good money.
Cons: there are no benefits and i worked long hours.
Working at Ihop, made me realize how much I really do enjoy working with the public. I learned so much about customer service and how important it is to make the customers happy. My desire to help people began at Ihop.

Telephone Banker (Current Employee), Rockford, IL – May 11, 2013
Pros: good pay
Cons: attendence is strict
Very strict Very stress full you get points for any little thing you do. If you get sick and bring a doctors note you still get pointed. If your kids get sick you still get pointed. Your only a number at apac. They dont care about anything but your numbers being good.

Helping Members with there prescriptions
Member Service Representative (Current Employee), Henderson, NV – April 26, 2013
Pros: mangement
Cons: benefits are expensive
Great training program, management staff is willing to educate on areas of need, co-workers mostly friendly, the hardest part of the job is expecting other co-workers to have the same epathy for the members that call us as you do. I never have taken a job that I do not want to do so when I am working I always find my job enjoyable. The best part is – more... knowing that I have given great customer service to the members and when I hang up from the call knowing that I have helped someone. – less

Digital Technician (Current Employee), Winston-Salem, NC – April 14, 2013
Pros: the company offers opportunities to advance, and offers fair compensation.
Cons: this job is located in greensboro nc, and i currently live in winston salem nc.
At APAC, there are ample opportunities to learn while you are working. This company offered on the job training, and also promotes from within the company, as opposed to expanding from the outside. All in all, it's a decent place of employment.

Too stressful, not enough positive feedback.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Green Bay, WI – April 14, 2013
Pros: flexible hours, great training
Cons: stressful......with a capital s!
Answering the phone, talking to a complete stranger, usually irate by this time, was very difficult and stressful. Management only worried about "performance numbers" not about the employee. Constantly watching and listening. Hardest part of job was the irate customer. Some were almost impossible to please. Some were nice and very thankful for the service – more... you gave them. – less

csr (Former Employee), Davenport, IA – April 13, 2013
In a typical day I would take over one hundred calls and learned the ins and outs of insurance data and plans. The management team was helpful and co-workers as well. The hardest part of the job was giving customers unfortunate information and the most enjyable was to be able to help at all.

Productive and Flexible
Team Lead/Customer Service (Former Employee), Corpus Christi, TX – April 11, 2013
Pros: free lunch and flexibility
Cons: advancement
A typical work day included audit reports, assisting frustrated customers, and working on training material for new hires.

I learned varies methods of auditing our team to ensure efficiency. I learned how to accommodate different personalities when training and coaching representatives.

Management was great. I had the best manager. He was very understanding – more... and flexible. I was finishing my first two years of school while I was an employee for this company. My manager understood when I needed time off for school. He was very encouraging.

My co-workers were very professional. They knew what was expected of them and acted in such manner. They were always open to assist anyone who needed help. They are some of the best people I know and still actively communicate with them to this day.

The hardest part of this job was handling irate customers. Some customers were not very easy to please and while we tried to uphold that the customer is always right, it was very challenging at times.

The most enjoyable part of this job was the food and events we had for the production floor. We would celebrate every holiday and everyone was invited for free lunch. – less

Inbound Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Davenport, IA – April 9, 2013
This was an opportunity for me to experience customer service. APAC was not a very stable place of employment as it basically recycles its employees out regularly.

Typical call center
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Waterloo, IA – April 2, 2013
Answering phone calls for Harris Casinos across the U.S. I learned customer service skills. Managment was mostly former CSR reps. Co-workers were mostly younger people just out of high school. Hardest part of job would be to make referrals for which ever casino you were doing a reservation for. Made a lot of friends at this company which made the job – more... more enjoyable. – less

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Worcester, MA – March 23, 2013
Pros: pizza partys
Cons: pay
A typical day at work consist of being on the phone and computer for 8 hours straight in a cubicle. I've learned that customers are always right. Management were awesome especially the team leads and my co workers were different as they did not do background checks for a while but I was told they now do. The hardest part of my job is definitely the – more... pay the best part was the end of my shift. – less
