You work hard, but the work is rewarding. For decent pay you are able to help others.
You start at home with a company vehicle. Your jobs (generally 8-10/day) are sent to your computer. You work your day with little guidance, so need to be self motivated.
You get to meet a diverse section of your local population, are able to take a problem they are experiencing and correct it.
It is a little difficult to plan family events when you can never know for sure how long each day will be as any call can be a surprise and need more time then you think, but the variance is also what makes the job unique, no day is the same.
