Store Manager (Former Employee), Richmond, VAJuly 3, 2014
Pros: great customers, easy collection process
Cons: not paid for mileage or use of own vehicle, poor upper management
I worked 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Thursday and 9 am to 7 pm on Fridays, occasionally I worked Saturdays 9.30 am to 1 pm. In the morning I would go to the bank and withdraw the money for the store I would also pick up the receipts from the deposit the night before. I would then open the store and log the money into the computer, sometimes I may have – more... to be on a conference call around 11 am Throughout the day I would make collection calls and book appointments , I may have to run errands throughout the day for the company such as going to DMV to place liens on titles , Visit a series of banks to collect funds with the checks we held for collateral and filing garnishment papers and warrants in debt with the courts. I would also process loans and cash checks. At the end of the day i would have to count the money in the store , log it into the computer then deposit it into the night drop box at the bank. I. this job I learned how do cash checks and what to look for on checks to make sure they are real , I also learned how to manage a high volume of customers at one time. The hardest part of my job was having to run around all the time and sometimes missing important things going on within the store itself. – less

This was a fun, exciting place to be.
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Grand Rapids, MIJune 16, 2014
A typical day consisted of me verifying funds on accounts that were not available. I learned how to file garnishments, and also how to appear in court to obtain funds owed to the company. Management was a blast, and always having fun. It was only a 2 person store, but my co-worker was a hard worker as well. The hardest part of the job was not getting – more... the money owed to us, but the best part was being able to help others with our services. – less

Great Place to work
Branch Manager (Former Employee), Harrisonburg, VAJune 9, 2014
Pros: good pay
Cons: having to take people to court for past due loans
I helped people borrow the money they needed to help with their day to day mishaps of life. I was also marketing to expand our customer base. I did collections on past due loans, I had one girl that worked for me and she was not easy to work with. She wanted to be the manager and always wanted things her way, so that was a bit challenging. I ended up – more... firing her for dishonest and stealing and so I worked alone for a few weeks which was pretty hard considering we were open til 7pm nightly and Saturdays. – less

Great place to work!
Manager (Current Employee), Oklahoma City, OKMay 7, 2014
Pros: fun atmosphere, good wage and bonus
Cons: can be stressful of you are not good at time management
This is a great place to work. The management team does a good job of anticipating the needs of the employees and tries hard to provide a positive and uplifting work place. Scott who is the DM knows the business and takes time to explain what is going on and provides good direction for my store. He takes time to market with me and set up business partners – more... when I ask for help. As long as you work here and don't goof off by messing around and only collect a check, this company is great. The pay is good and they have great bonuses every now and then, I work 40 hours a week and get almost every other Saturday off. – less

Not a company I would recommend for employment.
Manager (Former Employee), Tulsa, OKMarch 30, 2014
Pros: customers
Cons: management
You could not call management to ask questions or get assistance. The co-workers were only there to collect a paycheck. The hardest part of the job was dealing with management. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the customers.

Enjoyable place to work, if you enjoy the public.
Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Tulsa, OKMarch 6, 2014
Typical day: accept payments, process loans, Lots of customer service, and collections.
What I learned: Patients is a virture. on both sides of the counter.
Management; Local level/store level is a great place to work, but the higher up you go, they start to lump every one in the same box and expect the same results, from every one, no matter how difficult – more... for the local level it may be.
Co workers. are good.
Hardest part: having to demand the payment from a person whom just lost their job, or have hit hard times.
Most enjoyable: working with the public, even those whom want to be difficult. – less

I worked in Tulsa & Sand Springs, OK. I loved it at first, but that only lasted a few months. They can't keep good DM'S!
Assistant Manager / Manager (Former Employee), Sand Springs, OK & Tulsa stores too.November 21, 2013
Pros: none when i quit!
Cons: driving your car, with your gas money to run work errands every day, too much work with too little time, they treat customers & employees unfairly quite often!
It became a nightmare in Sand Springs & other OK. locations. They had employees stealing from customers & stores being broken into quite often! We had no good security systems either! It became dangerous & way too stressful!!! The 1st two DM'S I worked with in Tulsa & Sand Springs were pretty nice, but the 3rd was just wrong in so many ways!!! When – more... a company goes through 3 district managers in less than a year for one district, you know they're lousy to work for!!! They don't pay well enough for ALL the stressful work you have to do either!!! They hired a strung out druggy to manage the office I was assistant in for a while & showed me little appreciation for all I did for that office while she was partying & not coming to work! It was nuts! They treated me horribly the last few months & I finally quit while in training to be a manager & trainer. I'm warning anyone that considers working for that awful company! Don't do it! Not a good career choice at all!!! – less

Worst place I have worked in my career
District Manager (Former Employee), MemphisSeptember 5, 2013
Pros: you get paid.
Cons: almost everything....
I could write a book about bad this place is to work but I will not. This place had no ethics what so ever. I have never seen a place so poorly run from top to bottom. I would advise anyone to only work there if it's their only choice.

You have been warned!!!
