A typical day as a route salesman, is included but not limited to, sales, outgoing/incoming cold calls, door to door sales, delivery and installation, account management. I have learned how to obtain business from a wide variety of people and places. The management tends to keep the staff short handed and the company as a whole constantly lacks products. The employees at Aquaone are great, everyone works together to complete all delivers and sales calls. The hardest part of a route sales job is maintaining and equal balance of sales and delivery time. I found the best way to overcome this is attempt to sale in areas close to where you have to delivery, while working hard to keep orders and delivery schedules on time and accurate. By far the most enjoyable part of route sales is all the different places of business you are involved with and meeting new people which allows you to make more professional relationships.
