Challenging and rewarding work
Unit Controller (Former Employee), San Diego, CA – May 14, 2013
Pros: great benefits
Cons: excellent benefits
I had the opportunity to work with many wonderful people while with Aramark. The only downfall is they offer limited training with some very old DOS programs and are currently eliminating many positions due to the economy.

Supervisor (Former Employee), Lowell, MA – May 14, 2013
Pros: paid vacations, no work when college is on break.
Cons: dealing with people who have no idea what they are doing
You will find some nice awesome people working here. The problem with aramark is they are more concerned about how much money they can make than to help their employees progress in life.

A company that is oriented on quality cleanliness for patient environments.
Third Shift Supervisor (Former Employee), Williamsport, PA – May 14, 2013
Pros: overtime
Cons: reduction of hours and positions
A typical day at work usually was inspecting different areas for cleanliness, and making sure all supplies were filled. At times, due to call offs, vacation, etc., I filled in for missing personnel, also filled in for break periods for different employees. I could go from the Emergency room, security, valet, to Operating room as I strove to learn every – more... position available in this facility.
My co-workers were enjoyable, I tried to make time for each one at different periods to make sure they were ok. If the work load became too high, I worked right along them to catch up.
The hardest part of the job was trauma or death and grieving family and friends.
The most enjoyable part of the job was working with all kinds of people, from visitors, personnel, to the patients. – less

Good company to work for
Retail Supervisor (Current Employee), Indiana, PA – May 9, 2013
Typical day is stressful, but all jobs in the food service industry are. I have learned that labor is your biggest asset and largest liability at the same time. Management is good to the staff. Co-workers are good people to work with and be around. Hardest part of the job is working with the union. Best part of the job is getting to meet and build relationships – more... with lots of new people. – less

A challenging and rewarding job with serious professionals.
District Chef Manager Duquesne University (Current Employee), Pittsburgh, PA – May 9, 2013
A day of work can consist of multiple events at different locations ,going off at random times . Ive learned that time managment and organisation are keys to success. My co workers are valued employess who understand the roles and execute very well. Hardest part of my job would be to try and engage employees to give as much and to care as much as i – more... do . To really take an ownership and pride in their appearance as well as their positon. The most enjoyable part of my job is the food, There isnt anything more rewarding than a satisfied client. – less

Aramark provides a very friendly enviroment, I've learned serveal different skills in a short period of time, from making pizza's to catering. The mangement staff were kind, co- workers were friendly at times but overall still a great work place. The best part of this job is being able to interact with all walks of life.

Castro Valley Library
CafĂ© worker (Current Employee), Castro Valley, CA – May 7, 2013
Pros: free lunches
Cons: poor management
Working at the library is a very fun and challenging experience. I have learned how not to take things pesonally, how to code switch, problem solving, and proper business ettiquete. Also, this is my first customer service job, so I learned how to expand my customer service skills. The hardest part of this job is the community. Being the ethnicity that – more... Great company values
Account Executive (Former Employee), Fort Worth TX – May 7, 2013
Pros: great set of company values
Cons: inconsistant sales managment
Aramark has great values, really focus on retaining customers and keeping them happy.

The management on the service side is great and will do what ever it takes to make customers happy. The sales management is a little inconsistent I had 3 managers, 3 territories, and 3 service teams in 2 years. This was the hardest part for me, starting over again – more... after investing a ton of time in each territory. Hard to move up with in the company. – less
