Arby's (Milton Ave)
Cashier and Clean-up (Former Employee), Janesville, WI – June 8, 2013
Pros: 50% off of food purchase (1 daily)
Cons: no benefits package
Liked working night shift with Dave but got transfer to days and dealt with Tallisa. Tallisa was a very rude and incompetent general manager (she no longer works there). I was a cashier and clean up crew member. Other than the one manager though I really enjoyed the environment in the workplace.

Overall fast food is fast food but Arby's is a great company to work for with excellent visions and values. They are always looking at ways to help you grow and move forward within the company.

Negative attitude with poor hours
Cashier/Crew Member (Former Employee), Pueblo, CO – May 22, 2013
I worked at this establishment for 2 years. CoWorkers were scarey, never wore gloves, and people were too lazy to do their on dam jobs.

Production environment with friendly coworkers.
Associate (Former Employee), Plainfield, IL – May 16, 2013
Pros: half off everything
Cons: 20 minute breaks during an 8 hour shift, no sitting down, no studying during slow hours
A typical day at work would be fast paced even if work was slow. Drive thru would need to take care of orders in under 2 minutes and 30 seconds, counting from first taking the order until you give their bag out. I have learned that you need to work at your own pace no matter what. A manager should not hustle or rush you to go faster because you can – more... mess up an order, hurt yourself, and put others in danger as well, especially at fast food resturaunt. Management would complain about how slow a day would be and rush to go fast. Other than their constant complaining about work ethics, management was ok. Coworkers get along very nicely. Once we know one another and how we work, we can be a perfect team. Some coworkers might have been lazy, but keeping an optimistic attitude helps yourself and your coworkers. Their was nothing hard about working at Arbys, but working in the mornings. It was hard to keep up with rush hour around lunch time because we become overstaffed. The most enjoyable part of the job was the coworkers. Work is an everyday activity and seeing coworkers reminded me of seeing friends. And even though work is work, I enjoy it when associates are close and work together as a team. – less

Life at Arbys!
Team Member (Former Employee), Sheridan, WY – April 23, 2013
A typical day at Arby's was pretty easy going. The crew got along with each other, so there was no bickering or fighting, the manager knew what he was doing, and how to bring in customers, as well as keep sales up. My favorite part of the job was interacting with customers. I answered the headset and took drive-thru orders which was exactly what I wanted – more... to be doing! – less

Alright place to work, friendly co-workers mostly, very high energy work
Team Member (Former Employee), Greenville, NC – April 6, 2013
Pros: half off food
Cons: didn't know when i could break
I learned how to really pick up some speed working at Arby's, however, whenever certain management co-workers would work very long hours over very long periods of time for overtime pay, tensions in management can get rough between you and them, which proved to be very difficult at times. Did enjoy the busyness of the work and some of the customers made – more... it very fun to work there. – less

Robotic
Cashier (Former Employee), Torrance, CA – April 3, 2013
Pros: very nice customers
Cons: uselessness
A typical day at AR would start at 9am, and end at 4pm, with one half hour break and a ten minute break.
While working at AR, I mostly learned basic food safety standards: temperature control, cleaning routines, and personal sanitization. I also learned scripted customer service skills, which have been of no use to me since.
The management of AR was – more... very organized and routinely.
The co- workers were nice but not very concerned with work as much as each other.
The worst part of this job was being restricted to one place while a manager was around. If I was not doing anything and someone else really needed help, I would go to help them until the manager came and told me I needed to stay in my area. If I had nothing to do, I was to wash a wall or something. I was certified in every position in the restaurant and was forced to do nothing at times so the managers could remain in control. I felt useless, stupid, underestimated, restricted and most of all: BORED.
The only thing I really liked about this job was the regular customers: very nice people who came everyday and befriended our employees. – less

I enjoyed working here because my co-workers were nice as well as the boss. The thing I hate the most was that my relief was always an hour late. But over all I enjoyed working with this company.

Doesn't offer much in reguards to a work/life balance
Shift Manager (Current Employee), Hanover, PA – February 27, 2013
Pros: i get free food
Cons: work schedule all over the place
A typical day you come in an run your shift. I learned a lot about myself and what I can handle. Management is very strict. Co-workers are pretty young, not what I am used to at all, way to much drama.
The hardest part of the job is the drama and the crazily unhealthy work schedule. For example, you close Saturday night and leave the restaurant at a – more... little past 1:30 in the morning and come in and open up Sunday morning at 8 in the morning. Scheduling like this doesn't leave much in the way for a personal life. The best part of the job is the regular customers. – less
