Good and easy job, but lowsy pay.
Cashier (Former Employee) –  Amarillo, TXDecember 9, 2016
Loved the job, and everything about it. Plus it was such an easy job. Perfect first time job, or to work for to gain experience. But the pay could be better. Maybe up to 7.50-7.75/hr.
Cons
Low paying

My experience is pretty typical of fast food. Unclean environments, rude people, and long hours. Definitely not for me.

Also Arby's marketing staff is phenomenal

Shift Manager (Former Employee) –  Tomah, WIDecember 9, 2016
Depending in the crew that is hired on this can be a fantastic entry level job. The management is and always has been amazing. My main problem with Arby's was the employees that we would hire.

As my first job Arby's taught me everything I needed to know. I loved this job! It helps one advance their multitasking skills and really introduces one to what it's like to have a job.

Area Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNDecember 8, 2016
I have been very fortunate to work with and for a great group of people. In all, I have with the brand for 16 years. During that time, I have come to work with a lot of very talented individuals that run some great restaurants. The job like any other has its challenges. As long as you set yourself up for success by always hiring, retaining, and developing talent, you will be successful.

Oh boy. It was fast-paced and the people who worked there worked with each other. Everyone had a role in doing everything and it was definitely demanding.

Cashier (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXDecember 6, 2016
The hardest part of the job was moving around so much, the most enjoyable part was talking to my co-workers and getting free food. The management always tried their best and I worked hard but I liked it at the end of the day. The store was clean and organized, and most things made sense.
Pros
Co-workers were easy to get along with
Cons
Pay was minimum wage

Chef (Former Employee) –  4720 Milltown Road.December 5, 2016
While I worked at arby's I experienced a terrible management experience, I actually overheard that the unit director was letting one of the managers drink alcoholic beverages while on the job, then later that night had the same drunk manager give a minor a ride home.
Pros
free meal every shift, 50% discount

Very Busy
Trainee (Former Employee) –  Roseville, MIDecember 4, 2016
Everyday at Arby's was busy, and i liked that about Arby's. There was always something for everyone to do. I never just sat around, and i stayed on my feet. I've learned something new everyday, but the only thing i didn't too much like was the management, we always lost managers due to lack of communication, That was a major key. Part of the reason why i didn't want to be apart of the team any longer.
Pros
Always stayed busy
Cons
Not good communication

Maintenance, Cashier (Former Employee) –  Canfield, OHDecember 3, 2016
Being both maintenance and cashier, there was a variety of things I learned. Cashier, I learned how to always get along with the customer you are conversing with and to always make sure they feel their experience at your work place was the best they could have gotten and how to properly handle money and giving accurate and correct change in a speedy manor. For maintenance, it taught me the basics of how to keep a fast food environment clean, kept up, and operating accurately. It taught me to work well with others and it taught me to work at a good pace to prevent myself from being in the other cashiers way for too long. My co workers were over all very friendly and easy going as was the management. The hardest part of the job for me was was at the beginning, keeping up with the pace of the customers coming in, but in due time that was resolved. The best part was the co workers and the work flexibility.
Pros
Discount on lunch, schedule flexibility

Fun place to work
Crew Member (Current Employee) –  Tulsa, OKDecember 1, 2016
A typical work day is fast pace. I learned that you can not be slow and that getting an order wrong is not in your best interest. My managers are kind and understanding. My co-workers are fun and very supportive. The hardest part of the job is the rushes we get from time to time. But the best part of my job is being able to make the customers smile when they have had a bad day. To provide them with a great smile and getting personal asking "how is your day going?".
Pros
Making customers happy
Cons
rushes
