Pros: 8-4:30 typical work day
Cons: greedy corporate culture, treat employees poorly, terrible hr department from the top to the bottom with too much power and no ethics
The workload is typical of any corporate environments... slow on some days, super busy on others. Management really leans on capable individuals to get the real work done while the large majority of people who work there are average (at best).
The worst scenario you can be in is one where you are a high performer and management is confident you want to stay in the area. Pay and salary reviews are a joke compared to anywhere outside of Decatur. Once the move is made to Chicago the company will probably experience significant turnover because more employees will be located near companies that have much better cultures.
Also, this company treats minorities (including women) really poorly. They compensate for this by putting a woman as CEO and a latino as COO. If you look at the next several layers of management, it's almost all white men, with a few token exceptions. This company recently gutted its entire Compliance and Ethics Department.
