I ENJOYED TAKING CARE OF MY MOTHER-IN-LAW
HOME HEALTH AIDE (Former Employee), Wellsboro, PA – June 10, 2013
Pros: could work out of my home
Cons: no benefits of any kind
I GOT HER UP AROUND 10:30; SPONGE BATH; GAVE MEDS AND BREAKFAST - SHE THEN WOULD SIT IN HER LIFT CHAIR AND I WOULD PERIODICALLY TAKE HER TO THE RESTROOM AND GIVE HER SOME LIQUIDS, ALSO. THE MANGEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY WAS EXCELLENT. I WORKED BY MYSELF. THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB WAS BEING AWAKENED AT NIGHT - THE MOST ENJOYABLE PART WAS SEEING WHAT – more... EXCELLENT THERAPY MY PIANO PLAYING HAD FOR HER DEMENTIA. – less

Friendly Work Environment
Medical Case Manager (Current Employee), Phoenix, AZ – May 17, 2013
Every month there is an All Agency Staff Meeting, where work anniversaries are celebrated -many have been at the agency for 10+ years. Everyone is very much a family, who celebrates and supports eachother. The environment can really impact the work of the employees, and it shows through the smiling faces of the clients receiving services.

It was a job that everyday was normally different.
Certified Personal Care Assistant (Former Employee), Mountain Home, AR – May 15, 2013
Pros: the schedule was flexible with going to college to a certain amount.
Cons: low amount of hours
The caseworker that handled our questions was excellent. Traveling to the client's houses was sometimes a little difficult. That is finding where a person lived. It was a rewarding experience helping people live a fuller life with you in it.

Busy Place
EHL (Current Employee), West Palm Beach, Florida – January 9, 2013
Great busy work environment with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow if openings are available. Fun for the most part but be prepared to take care and listen to caller needs, which may not always be pleasant.

Poorly organized
CNA/Caregiver (Current Employee), Paris, AR – November 17, 2012
The clients are the best part of this job. Compensation for travel is not provided, so make sure you over budget for travel expenses. The people I work with are also an asset. However, the management does not seem to be as concerned with client needs as they should be, and many requests for assistance go unheeded. There is not a set pay rate, and many – more... aids with the same qualifications make less than aids that are less qualified. This is definitely a company concerned with WHO you know and not WHAT you know. – less

For those with case management experience!
RN, Passport Case Manager (Former Employee), Dayton, OH – November 16, 2012
Pros: great office, nice work environment, great schedule.
Cons: the pay is heart-breaking
The job is great, you will make many friends here. The hours and office are cozy, no weekends, no holidays, and you get your own laptop when you do home visits. A nurses dream right? Wrong. Starting pay, even if you have been a nurse for 20+ years is 40K. Say good-bye to that nice home or car of yours, unless you have a partner/husband/wife who has – more... a good paying career. The perfect place for a new nurse with young kids! Be prepaired to work though, in your first month you will be set up with a case load of around 80 patients. Good luck! – less

overall rating is poor
Assessor (Former Employee), Dayton, OH – October 28, 2012
Pros: nice co-workers, nice clients, good insurance
Cons: poor management, unrealistic workload
The workload was way too much with unrealistice expectations. I was working 7 days a week to keep up on required paperwork. The management was not supportive and only wanted numbers of cases opened. The management was judemental of co-workers and favored others. The hardest part of the job was telling clients they did not qualify for services. I did – more... like my co-workers

Overall rating poor – less

Very flexible...
Supports Coordinator (Former Employee), Battle Creek, MI – September 24, 2012
Pros: flexible, great co-workers, clients and their families
Cons: boundary issues and lack of professionalism at times in management
Flexible and accommodating for those with families. The thing that I enjoyed most about the job was the clients that I worked with daily. That is why I was there and I tried to remind myself of that daily. Most of my co-workers were great. We were very supportive of one another since we knew what each was going through in regards to caseloads. Management – more... was understanding for the most part in regards to the fact that most of us had families outside of our jobs and that had to be a priority also and they tried to be supportive of that. It was frustrating however, because there were some boundary issues in management and at times lack of professionalism. – less

Home Health Aid (Former Employee), Benton Harbor, MI – August 24, 2012
Pros: watch tv
Cons: no days off
The thing that i loved the most was helping the patient. She really didn't have anybody to help her out. A typical day at work would include taking blood sugar, given insulin shot. Next prepare breakfast. After breakfast it was time for bathing.
