Met and worked with many people over the years here, some great,
some not so great. All changed when the founding owner passed on.
A few years ago, ownership decided to bring in a consultant, smart guy but zero idea regarding petroleum transport
business. Tried to turn hands on type, field operations guys into administrators, (ops director, TM's) which didn't work, and numerous managers left to pursue anything else other than stay. When you start running managers into the ground, the trickle down effect happens, no longer a good place to be. Ownership and upper management will never get past running drivers into the ground, lousy schedules, treating people like a number. Too bad. This once was a great place to work. Tonawanda Terminal Manager was a great guy, held the place together. Worked really hard. They blamed him for issues that weren't his to start. Let him go. He made the place tolerable on a
daily basis. Took care of you in spite of policy and procedures.
