Assistant Building Manager and Food Services (Former Employee) – Wolfville, NS – April 30, 2014
Typically, I would come in to work count the safe and ensure that in was in balance. Next, I would move on to completely the deposits from the day (the deposits were for all of the stores and restaurants in the building). During the bulk of the shift I would be the supervisor of staff and students in the SUB (student union building). Any inquiries or issues that employees could not answer came directly to me. I was also a key holder, meaning that for events, and classes I would ensure their rooms were open and a safe space. When the building closed I was in charge of performing closing procedures. The building manager and executives were absolutely amazing to work for, highly understanding. I learned so much in this job, there was a lot of responsibility, and I believe that this really help me grow as a person. Because the student bar is located in the SUB, on nights when the bar is open, keeping an eye on everyone can be very challenging. I loved how much I grew in this job.
