Summary of Position:
Cleveland, Ohio based sales position requiring extensive travel to multiple states within assigned territory. Must be a ‘road warrior" used to 75% + travel , willing to learn the business, and meet face to face with customers within large and small markets.
- Develop market strategies with distributors
- Promote new products, obtain feedback on product strengths and weaknesses to gather ideas for improvements and new products.
- Work closely with product management and marketing on new product development
- Work closely with customer service to resolve product and delivery issues.
- Establish sales goals; close the sale
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales Management or related field
- Minimum of 3 - 10 years of experience in outside sales with extensive travel out of state, about 75% of the time
- Previous route sales experience is a plus
- Must have strong selling skills with an aggressive attitude towards sales promotion and growth
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships, expand existing markets, as well as pursuing new customers
- Proven record of sales success
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and strong follow-up
- Must be self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
Compensation includes a base salary plus commission.
