There were pro's and con's to working at Art Van. It's definitely not a job for the weak. You have to be physically and mentally strong. It felt as if I were in a live 2 year board game while I was there. All you were is a number and your value on the team was based on how good you were at aggressive selling. I learned a lot about who I am and what I can do but was definitely not a job I could handle long term. Especially with kids. My kids will always remember the two years I worked there as the two years they never saw their mom. It was a good experience but I thank God I moved on.

If you are an hourly worker its by the hours worked. If you are a salaried employee it was 45 hours a week anything past your 45 you got paid an hourly rate. But then again I'm sure times have changed since I worked there 1984-1996.
