Number one furniture manufacture in the world.
Sales Associate (Current Employee) –  St. Louis, MOMay 5, 2016
Ashley Furniture Homestore is a growing company. With that comes growing pains. New policies and procedures all the time. The high demand for the fast delivery for furniture has changed so much over the years. Selling furniture and meeting the customers needs is fast paced. With a big corporate company, not all things can be fixed at a store level. This can be very challenging to make things right for the customer. As a sales person wanting to be successful at selling and making sure the customers is happy can be very difficult at times.

Selling is just part of the job. Prospecting, follow up, Open order reports, learning new products and the mattress industry is exploding with new technology. Customer have at their fingertips the internet. Very smart with products and pricing. Retail has changed so much. As a sales person you have to be on top of all the customer needs to sell the products.
Pros
You can make good money.
Cons
management turn over is very high

Operation Manager (Former Employee) –  Yuma, AZOctober 11, 2012
Coordinate all warehouse and inhouse functions for distribution and customer service including repairs.

Yuma is a very different place than LA. Dealing with a different work culture and adjusting.

Disconnected from employee needs and issues that negatyively effect overall performance.

Changing a workplace culture not condusive to effeciency and performance.

Being able to change a negative work culture and achieving set goals for distribution center.
Pros
cooperative management/able to make changes.
Cons
short term goal oriented and hard to change.
