One of the Top Ten Workplaces in Northeast Ohio
Central Scheduling Representative (Current Employee) – Ashtabula, OH – December 17, 2014
I've become very confident in medical field terminology and look forward to learning different ways other facilities work. Management did fairly well at communication, but there was room for improvement. The bulk of my coworkers were very team-oriented, pleasant, and eager to help and provide excellent patient care. The hardest part of my job was having to tell a patient I was unable to accommodate their schedule or that their exams were denied by their insurance company. The most enjoyable part of my job was interacting with patients and being able to "surprise" them by going beyond their expectations by offering them sooner appointments and explaining exactly what to expect from the moment they enter the hospital doors. I've learned that the medical system is very complex and is always changing and one must be willing to adapt and learn with a positive, patient-centered attitude.
excellent benefits and excellent coworkers.
poor compensation, lacking management communication, no opportunity/training for upward mobility within the workplace.
