Paralegal, Los Angeles, CA - July 31, 2013
APALC is a non-profit organization that assisted the poor income community in advocacy, civil rights and advancement of legal services. I really enjoyed working with law school students to facilitate their education of poverty law which served to assist low income families. I looked forward to the weekly Chinatown visits to help elderly clients with their legal problems. The hardest part of the job was leaving APALC. The non-profit had limited funds and a ceiling on opportunities. My co-workers were the kindest and smartest people to work with. They generally had a heart to care for those in need.
